Following an escalation of murderous pirate attacks in the Horn of Africa, an agreement is made between the British, French and Americans to contract out security services. Myrmidon SA is appointed to organise and run a small rapid reaction force charged with rescuing hostages and destroying pirate bases.

However, the secondment of special force operatives from the three countries leaves Marcus and Sophie with doubts as to the real commitment of their business partners. In addition, it appears that some of the pirate attacks are being planned and funded in London.

Suleiman, a pirate leader who operates out of Somalia, is a despicable and ruthless adversary, but will discontent and discord within Marcus’s team destroy any chance of defeating him?
